Emillia Lloyd, MD, has served as full-time faculty and program director of the SCFM Residency Program since 2015. She enjoys teaching future family medicine physicians and loves many aspects of primary care. She is passionate about procedures including colonoscopies, colposcopies, central lines, LEEPS, intra-articular injections, skin procedures and more. She also enjoys outpatient medicine, obstetrics, sports medicine and inpatient medicine.Originally from Los Gatos, California in the Silicon Valley, Dr. Lloyd attended Texas A&M for her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in business and education. She attended Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for medical school. She ventured to St. Louis, Missouri for three years of joint civilian training and then completed the Air Force Family Medicine residency program training in Belleville, Illinois. After her third year as scheduling chief resident, she served four years at the residency program as an attending physician. She gained a passion for teaching, served her active duty Air Force commitment and spent six months deployed to Ali Al Salem in Kuwait.Dr. Lloyds life outside of work is all about spending time with family. She enjoys water skiing, surfing, wakeboarding, running, biking, kayaking, hiking, volleyball, snow skiing, snowboarding, basketball and swimming.
