Durango Friends Meeting is an unprogrammed Quaker congregation located in Durango, Colorado, serving the Southwestern Colorado, Northwestern New Mexico, and Northeastern Arizona regions. The heart of their religious practice is the meeting for worship, where individuals offer themselves in silence and active anticipation for the revelation of the Spirit. They seek a gathered stillness in their worship, allowing all attendees to feel the power of God's love leading and drawing them together.
As an open and affirming community, Durango Friends Meeting welcomes people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions into the full life of their community, including ministry and leadership. They strive to honor a wide spectrum of diversity and difference, believing that encounters with otherness contribute positively to individual spiritual growth and social transformation. Meeting for worship is held every Sunday from 9:30-10:30, both in-person at the Meeting House and virtually via Zoom.
