History
I've wanted to be a therapist for as long as I can remember. Now, living the career I've always dreamed of, I know that helping others alleviate their suffering through therapy is my true calling. There is something magical about sharing in others' worlds, connecting to a sense of common humanity. Life struggles don't make us unique or broken, they make us human. It is a deep honor to be given the permission to hear the stories of my clients and offer my help. My Masters is in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy (a COAMFTE-accredited program) from Colorado State University (CSU). Now, I am pursuing my PhD and am currently in my final year of of doctoral studies at CSU while operating my private practice.
Specialties
Welcome! I'm Tasha (Seiter), MS, PhD, MFTC. I provide online couples, individual, and family therapy for residents of Colorado. None of us are handed a user's manual in this life! Life is undoubtedly hard, and sometimes we find our lives or relationships aren't what we had hoped. In my couples work, I specialize in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy methods and Gottman Method Couples Therapy, the two most evidence-based methods out there. You can get to a clearer level of understanding and break out of your typical cycle. Couples therapy and marriage counseling can guide you in having conversations and making changes that will move you toward a more secure relationship with greater joy. I work with individuals and families using experiential, mindfulness, solution-focused, and strengths-based techniques as well as those from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I adapt my therapy approach to treat a variety of concerns. I work with individuals seeking help with anxiety symptoms, depression symptoms, breakups/divorces/other life transitions, stress, self-esteem, and interpersonal issues. We can work together in a space of mutual trust, being real with each other as humans on this planet; a space where you can share all of the pain and richness of your experience.
