Ananya Guha Lusero, MD has joined St. Thomas More Physician Group as a board certified pediatrician. She enjoys caring for families in Fremont County. She is now accepting new patients, and most insurance such as Medicaid, United Health Care, Tri-Care, Blue Cross and Humana.Dr. Lusero grew up in Florida, and graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She performed research in the MIT infant cognition lab and volunteered in schools while in Boston. She continued her interest in child advocacy by volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care. She earned her medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine, and completed a Pediatrics residency at the University of New Mexico, where she earned the Community Access to Child Health Grant and Anne E. Dyson Child Advocacy Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics for addressing childhood obesity in Albuquerque.She spent four years as a Pediatric Hospitalist, caring for newborns and taking care of sick children in the hospital. As a hospitalist, Dr. Lusero was the breast feeding physician advocate and newborn nursery liaison, and utilized mindfulness techniques in working with children. She always envisioned being a community pediatrician and is excited to bring her hospitalist experience, as well as passion for primary care, to the St. Thomas More Physicians Group.In her free time, Dr. Lusero likes to spend time with family, play violin, hike, and meditate.
