Established in 1925, Adams State College is a liberal arts college. It offers bachelor s degree programs in more than 14 majors and over 25 minors. Its courses include biology, business administration, chemistry, computer science, English, history and philosophy. It provides minor degree program in accounting, environmental science, finance, general science, marketing and women's studies. Its extracurricular programs include snowboarding, rock climbing and mountain biking. It has more than 35 student clubs and organizations, including student government and student media. Adams State College is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and offers various sports activities, such as basketball, softball, track and field and wrestling. It is located in Alamosa, Colo.
