Yohualli B. Anaya M.D., M.P.H. is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She is a graduate of Occidental College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She received her medical degree and Master of Public Health from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC). She completed her residency training at the UCLA Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Anaya teaches residents and medical students at both the MidValley Comprehensive Medical Center (LA County DHS) and the UCLA Family Health Center, and has a continuity practice at each as well. Her clinical interests include full-spectrum primary care for the whole family, outpatient procedures, pediatrics, and providing language-concordant care to Spanish-speaking patients.Dr. Anaya enjoys caring for patients of all ages and stages of life and seeks to help all her patients achieve wellness. Her research interests include health disparities of vulnerable communities, the application of research to promote policies and programs that address health equity, and racial/ethnic and gender physician workforce diversity. Dr. Anaya is passionate about improving the health and healthcare of underserved and marginalized communities.
