One of the biggest secrets in the area is this nature institute, which is nestled between the mansions of Mulholland Drive in Franklin Canyon State Park. The park is famous for its hiking trails, its lake and for being a location for many Hollywood movies, but the Sooky Goldman Nature Center and the William O. Douglas Outdoors Classroom are two of the most popular attractions in the park. Here children can discover the history of the canyon and learn about its flora and fauna in an exciting atmosphere. Nature classes and lectures are given either in the outdoor amphitheater or the auditorium, and admission to all educational programs is free of charge.
