This bustling center is where many local seniors come to hang out with other members of their community. Some play a rowdy game of pool or cards in one of the side rooms. Others prefer to take advantage of the ceramics classes and exercise lessons offered by the center. The first garden concerts were held in July 2010; and Avideh Yaghmai-Samardar, Senior Services Supervisor, hopes to make them an annual tradition. The musicians who played at the concerts were active members of the Senior Center community. The Menlo Park Senior Center partners with the 2nd Harvest Food Bank to feed needy people in the area, among other philanthropic organizations.
