History
Originally Oasis Baptist Church, the name was changed to West Shores Baptist Church in 1988 when the church bought property in Salton Sea Beach. The actual building was completed in 1990. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and the California Southern Baptist Convention.
Specialties
Church services held each Sunday (Bible study at 9:30 AM; worship service at 11 AM). Two small group Bible studies also meet on Wednesdays (women's group) and Thursdays (men's group) at 9 AM at the church. West Shores Baptist Church also works in conjunction with Operation Christmas Child (OCC) as a Relay Center to drop off shoe boxes to be sent over seas. Collection Week is the third week of November. More information and supplies for OCC can be obtained by contacting the church or Operation Christmas Child. Free Movie Night on the first and third Saturdays of the month starting at 6:30 PM.
