History
Started by talented musicians Ted and Eva Kidwell, who initated renovation with careful attention to detail for restoration of period detail. They managed the bed and breakfast for ten years, with occasional musical events in the ballroom, which has recording-studio quality acoustics, a full rich sound for acoustic instruments with no amplification necessary. Management transitioned to Vivien LaMothe in 2008, with a new focus on using the beautiful ballroom as venue for social Argentine tango, with world-class instructors teaching occasional weekend retreats. Various live music concerts and dance events. Regular weekly Argentine tango class and practica on Tuesday evenings, and several yoga classes, with local and visiting teachers. Occasionally hosts community gatherings for clubs such as Spanish-English learners bilingual language club, local historical society, garden club, Soroptimists, etc.
