History
I began my business when I had some major life changes and needed to rediscover myself. I started out doing portraits of friends and family, then delved into self-portraiture as a way to further explore photography as fine art. After much experimenting, I found that if I could envision it, I could create it photographically. It wasn't long before I started incorporating models into my conceptual shoots, and shortly after that, to offer this art form up as a service. Not just as another photographer, but as a fine art portraitist. I don't use any of my own props anymore. If props are involved, I like to have the client bring the items of importance in their lives with them to the shoot. This object acts as a totem, or sacred object, which can serve both as a prop and a symbol of meaning that helps the client connect with their truest self. My shoots are primarily done on location and are fun and light, like a casual outing with a friend.
