Viva was established in 1986 by a Mexican man who had a passion for cooking and his American wife who had a love for Mexican food and culture. Together they created the wonderful recipes that have not changed over the years and have become what all the locals have come to appreciate and depend on. Over the years more flavors and spices have been added to create a unique yet traditional Mexican cuisine. Viva embraces what Californians in Sonoma have come to honor as local and healthy products that re used in their recipes. No GMO or preservatives in the tortillas, organic local goat cheese, organic locally roasted coffee and teas, local beer and wine, organic seasonal produce, and local art that changes every month. There is also a small bakery with the best flan in town and wonderful bars and treats.

Viva Mexicana is an upscale Mexican restaurant. We use the freshest ingredients and as little oil as possible, we strive to use a wide variety of local California's bounty of fruits and vegetables to create a unique, flavorful and reasonably priced menu. We go organic as much as we can. All dishes are cooked daily. We cater to Vegans, Vegetarians, (and Carnivores of course), as well as people with special dietary needs. We also offer catering for parties, meetings and client presentations. In addition, we have freash baked goods, espresso bar and an excellent and unique breakfast menu that is out of this world. And now we offer gluten free tortillas for your burrito. We now have delivery service from Thursday to Saturday from 4 to 7. There is a $5 delivery fee and $20 minimum order.
