Viktor Benes has been baking breads and pastries for over 92 years. After emigrating from Czechoslovakia in 1920 he settled in the Chicago area he opened his first bakery. In 1946 he sold and moved to Southern California. Quality was always the first ingredient. Sweet creamy butter, whole eggs and no preservatives,.. In 1973 he retired and sold his thriving business to two enterprising Italian bakers, Ugo Mamolo and Ruggero Terzuolo. Today, Viktor Benes Continental bakery continues its success by baking and preparing only the highest quality breads and pastries using all natural ingredients.
