Established in 1976, the Office of Affirmative Action Compliance in Los Angeles provides business certifications and operates various programs. Its employment discrimination compliance section monitors internal and external employment discrimination complaints filed by the employees of county departments. It also offers training on equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment prevention, employment discrimination prevention and other civil rights-related subjects.
