History
With over 23 years of full-time coaching experience, Vaz has dedicated his career to seeing his students achieve their ambitions. Vaz started playing tennis at the age of 15. He played #1 singles for Burbank High School and won the CIF Division 3 Championship in 1993. In 1994, the team advanced to the CIF semi-finals. Thereafter, he played at Los Angeles Pierce College for 2 years, where he was ranked #8 in singles in California among junior college players. He then played Division 1 tennis at California State University, Sacramento on a full athletic scholarship. After college Vaz began teaching tennis in the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles area. He teaches all ages and skill levels and has developed many varsity high school tennis players and Division 1 and 3 college players. Vaz is a USPTA-certified tennis professional. He is a talented coach with an ability to bring out the best in every student.
