History
Umida Avloni was invited to the Hall of Fame of the American College of Musicians for her work in piano teaching. She has served as a judge in both national and international piano competitions. She is the founder of Avloni Academy of Music, which was the largest classical music school in California with over 600 students and five locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. After successfully running the school for over 23 years, Dr. Avloni moved to Marin County in 2021 to be closer to her family.
Specialties
Dr. Avloni's students perform in state, national and international competitions, recitals, festivals, and charitable community events, and participate in tests including state tests (CM of the MTAC), national tests, (Piano Guild), as well as international tests (ABRSM, RCM, RSM). Her students have won hundreds of awards at piano competitions, performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York as well as at other concert venues. Dr. Avloni's students have also gone on to study at Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Columbia, Duke, UPenn, UC Berkeley, UCLA amongst other universities.
