Alexander V. Uihlein studied medicine at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, graduating with a MD in 2007. He went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at Northwestern and the University of Massachusetts. His fellowship training in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism was completed at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. There he participated in investigator-initiated clinical trials studying new treatment paradigms for male osteoporosis and postmenopausal osteoporosis. He practiced general endocrinology at Northwestern Medical Group in Chicago, from 2013 to 2016 and has especially enjoyed the opportunity to teach medical students in their longitudinal clinical experience.
