From this the police department has grown to nearly 100 sworn police officers and more than 50 civilian support personnel. The department patrols the city of Tustin, Calif., which is approximately 12 square miles with a population of nearly 70,340. The department is committed to community-orientated policing. Its mission is to protect life, property and human dignity through community service prevention and response. The Tustin Police Department is located in Tustin.
