History
The front portion of the Warm Hearth building was constructed in 1913. It served as Julian Feed and Supply for some time before the current owners bought it. With the addition of the warehouse it became Julian Lumber in 1978. As tourism in Julian increased, the store transitioned from hardware and lumber to wood burning stoves and giftware. The name was changed to The Warm Hearth and the business became what it is today. We are currently phasing out stove sales and moving towards in house production of home furnishings and decor as well as providing retail space for local artisans.
