History
The Stein Family Farm was established by Charles and Bertha Stein, local German Immigrants who met and married in National City in 1900 and remained in their family until 1990 when is was purchased and scheduled to be demolished by a local developer. A group of local citizens marched on City Hall and the City Council agreed to purchase it if they would start a non-profit and be totally responsible for the site. The Stein Family Farm opened to the public in 1992 and has over 6,000 visitors annually.
