We are a sweet little cafe frequented by travelers, locals, artists, transients, farmers, craftsmen, tradesmen, mountain folk, out-door enthusiasts, health-nuts, hippies & hill-billies. We keep them all well fed & happy by dishin' up organic food made with love. We focus on using organic ingredients, produce and meats and sourcing locally when possible. Our menu is as diverse as the clientele with a little something for everyone. There are specials featuring what's tasty, fresh & in-season. Come enjoy the bright rooms inside with space to gather with friends, quietly read a favorite book or enjoy the piano and guitars in the music room. When the sun shines there is no place like our garden seating to enjoy rural life in the Sierra foothills. Established in 2007. Christina and Sarah purchased the Café from its founder Belle on September 14th 2012. Christina, who has worked in the Café as manager for nearly two years, grew up in Sacramento and has had years of experience in organic market farming in California and Hawaii. Sarah is from a dairy farm in Minnesota and moved to California in 2007 after 7 years of world travel. She had previously owned a coffee/pie shop in the Florida Keys. The two have been great friends for years and are excited to lead the café together. With the new ownership comes new energy and some exciting changes. For now, they will be extending the hours, and you will find new menu items such as: seasonal specials & drinks, frittatas, pot-pies, and new bakery items. Also, the 'stop' has been dropped from the name. If you need to keep moving the Ridge Café will help you on your way. Eventually they will offer evening BBQ's and events. The Ridge Café has an organic menu, using fresh and local produce when available.
