Richmond District Neighborhood Center directly implements programs for elementary, middle and high school youth and is located in San Francisco. It provides after school programs that are enriching in the arts, academically enhancing and culturally relevant to youths and their families. It offers art classes in poetry, music, visual art and performing arts, daily tutoring and homework assistance, structured recreational activities, service learning projects and counseling service and also serves nutritional snacks. The center offers their programs to more than 300 students each year and operates at Alamo, Argonne, Cabrillo, George Peabody and Lafayette elementary schools. Its family center offers care and educates the children with an emphasis on self-esteem.
