Prentice School, founded in 1986, is an independent, nonprofit, coeducational school for dyslexic children. Located in Santa Ana, Calif., it enrolls more than 200 students from grades first through eight. Its curriculum includes language arts, science, computer, music, art and physical education. It offers a variety of activities, such as student government, science club, and film and drama clubs. It organizes various events, including instrumental and choral music programs, holiday program, talent show, field day, science fair, art show, career day, poetry alive, science camps and Orange County performing arts center assemblies. It has fully equipped science and computer laboratories and a greenhouse. Additionally, it features a library media center with an inventory of more than 9,000 books. Prentice School is accredited by the Western Association of School and Colleges.
