Elizabeth Mason founded The Paper Bag Princess in 1992 followed by her first reference book, The Rag Street Journal, Henry Holt. The Paper Bag Princess, open in West Hollywood in 1995. Mason appeared on Oprah with her book The Rag Street Journal, searching for hidden riches in homes across America. Mason released her 2nd reference book in 2002, Valuable Vintage, Random House. Mason is a Certified Appraiser specializing in 20th and 21st Century fashions. The Shop moved in 2004, to Beverly Hills catering to the special demands of a select clientele, offering a design research dept., VIP couture/museum salon, and a library of fashion books, and sketches, which are available for research rentals. Mason launched her design Atelier, Elizabeth Mason Couture in 2006. Described as 'Go-To-Looks', that are beautifully crafted and constructed, as well as sexy, glamorous and uber feminine.
