The Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) is a free public service of the San Diego County Bar Association that refers individuals to qualified attorneys or to legal resources in the community. Callers receive a free 30-minute consultation with an attorney.

The Lawyer Referral and Information Service is a FREE service sponsored by the San Diego County Bar Association. With over 400 attorneys in 37 areas of law throughout the county, finding an attorney to assist your legal situation is only a phone call away.Among the qualifications that must be met by each attorney, they must have malpractice insurance, be in good standing with the State Bar of California, and they must provide letters of recommendation. Once the application packet is received, the LRIS Committee will then review the prospective attorney for approval.
