The Desert Star is a unique mid-century modern hotel in Palm Springs. The hotel was designed by Howard Lapham and built in 1954. In 2005, the hotel went through a design renewal. The hotel has 6 bungalows surrounding a salt water pool with a west facing unobstructed view of the San Jacinto Mountains. Each bungalow is styled with a blend of vintage and newly crafted modern furnishings. The hotel experience is intimate, relaxed and uncomplicated.
