Founded in 1909, the Bishop's School provides various educational and extracurricular activities. It offers an extensive curriculum for students in grades seven through 12. The school is located in La Jolla, Calif., and has an enrollment of more than 700 students. It is an independent coeducational college preparatory and is associated with the National Association of Episcopal Schools and the National Association of Independent Schools. The subjects offered include English, language arts, reading and writing skills, science, social studies, mathematics, algebra, calculus, and health and physical education. In addition, it offers Bible study, foreign language, music, fine, studio and performing arts and computer technology classes. The Bishop's School also provides various athletics activities that include basketball, field hockey, gymnastics and tennis.
