History
At every race track, every car meet, and every car museum, there are amateur photographers capturing images of the machines they love, immortalizing them forever. I myself used to bring my point and shoot to every event I went to. Then, smart phones with great cameras made it so that I was never more than a few swipes or taps of a screen from creating a memory that I could recall over and over again. Still, I wanted something better. When I decided to buy a DSLR camera, it wasn't because I wanted to take amazing photographs; it was for the cars. I wanted to capture them with a level of clarity and detail I couldn't get with a simpler camera. This desire soon evolved into the need to take better and better photos. Before I knew it, I was composing shots rather than just taking them, and soon after that I was making edits to color and contrast instead of just saving photos in the computer. My photography had gone from archival to art.
