Takahashi Market was established in 1906 by an Issei immigrant named Tokutaro Takahashi. Three generations later, the business continues to be managed by his family. The market carries many Asian and Hawaiian foods and cooking accessories as well as food flown in fresh from Honolulu every Thursday. The deli department is open daily and offers plated lunches that include sushi, salmon shioyaki, saba shioyaki, Kalbi-marinated flank steak, whole roasted chicken and more. The food is very reasonably priced and tasty. Customers may order food to go or eat on the outdoor benches. (There isn't seating inside.).
