Operational for more than 70 years, Sure-Grip International is one of the oldest sports products manufacturers in the United States. Formerly known as the Sure-Grip Skate Company, it manufactures a wide variety of products, such as inline race, hockey, recreational and quad speed wheels and frames, roller skates and mountings, and bearings and lubricants. The company sells its products through various distributors, including Western Skate Sales, Express Skate Supply, Southeastern Skate Supply, R.C. Sports, JM Skate Company, Johnny Jones, J & D Athletic Supply, and Supreme Rollers. Founded by John Wintz, Sure-Grip International is located in South Gate, Calif., and also provides rubber inlays, tools and dies and aluminum plates.
