The Sunset Mausoleum-Columbarium was built on about eight-and-a-half acres of property, tucked away behind the Sunset Cemetery. The property overlooks the Bay and was built in 1927, before the Golden Gate Bridge was even completed. This is an independently-owned and operated facility. The Mausoleum is a full-endowment care facility. All of the interest from your one-time purchase of a niche or columbarium for your loved ones goes to tending the site. This includes the use of the beautiful non-denominational chapel, where a gigantic marble statue of Christ carved in the 1950s overlooks the services.
