Ali Davis and Kelly Shirk opened The Sugar Lab in April 2012, just a few months after Ali graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in biology. They decided take their passion for baking and open a bakery. Since then, this Mother-Daughter duo has continued to develop new recipes from both their own ideas and customer requests.
