Submarina is a regional sandwich store chain with nearly 45 restaurant locations in San Diego, Riverside and Orange counties in California. Its restaurants offer a variety of different sandwiches and submarines, including turkey, tuna, vegetable, wraps, melts, ham sandwiches, oven roasted chicken, salads, macaroni salads, soups, desserts and beverages. Customers can choose from squaw, sourdough or marbled rye bread, or they can have a sandwich made without bread. Submarina restaurants also offer catering items, such as platters, trays and party sandwiches. Submarina offers franchise opportunities to perspective owners/operators. The first Submarina store opened in 1977 in Poway, Calif.
