History
Having received my architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I spent a year at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen doing further design study. From there I worked at major architectural firms in San Francisco being involved in research labs, College 7 at UC Santa Cruz, BART stations and repair facilities among others. Private practice began in 1980, with a return to employment in 1983 a resumption from 1986 to the present. Projects involved in are described under Specialties.
Specialties
In business since 1987 My work in private practice has ranged from office, commercial and multi-family residential to religious, with a particular emphasis on single-family homes, including additions and re-modellings. I am currently a sole practitioner, allowing me to be totally available to my clients, with whom I take a collaborative approach to design. I pride myself on being a good listener to client needs and wishes and take great pleasure in seeing them realized. I strive for design solutions that are specific to the site and appropriate to the surroundings. When creating additions, my goal is to make them seamlessly integrated with the existing structure, becoming part of a new whole. We offer Architects, Architects and Builders Services.
