I have been practicing Psychiatry since 1976, when I completed my Residency at the Institute of the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. I became Board Certified at that time, and have worked in a wide variety of settings, including Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient. After moving to California in 1986, I opened my office at 45 Castro Street, at the Davies Campus of CPMC, and have been seeing patients in that setting continuously since 1990.

Board Certified Psychiatrist with over 45 years of experience in caring for adults with Depression, Anxiety, Relationship and Career issues. I also specialize in diagnosing and treating Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity disorder. I utilize medication when necessary, and offer a variety of Psychotherapeutic techniques in my practice. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Techniques in order to enhance your overall ability to experience the present moment more fully. In very specialized clinical circumstances, we may consider utilizing Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, to accelerate progress or improve the clinical outcome. I enjoy working with people at all stages of life, I have a special interest in helping Millennials deal with their unique challenges. I view treatment as a collaboration, a form of teamwork!
