CHIPAO is a community organization founded by faculty, staff, and students in the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Their mission is to address the challenges faced by Asian-American families in the greater Bay Area, particularly in relation to adolescent mental health and cultural expectations, through workshops that utilize theatrical vignettes and audience participation.
Comprised of Stanford psychiatrists and community partners, CHIPAO aims to promote physical and mental well-being, manage adolescent stressors, and enhance parent-child relationships for a better future.
