History
Oscar began personality training at 24 Hour Fitness, quickly advanced to the elite gym, Equinox in Pasadena and then continued privately, briefly working at Lean with Marco in South Pasadena. Oscar's emphasis on creativity, safety and rehabilitation programs has made him stood out in a positive way. He now trains clients at the private gym Club Sportif and Spa in Pasadena, at their homes and running on local trails.
Specialties
With a passion for both education and exercise physiology, Oscar is well known for designing creative and effective programs. Oscar specializes in corrective exercise, injury prevention and rehabilitation, but has extensive training in running programs, weight loss and performance enhancement as well. Oscar's career in personal training began ten years ago as an undergraduate and collegiate athlete at California State University Los Angeles. Oscar participated in body mass labs, focused on delaying onset of lactate threshold in long duration exercise, and began accumulating experience and credentials in personal training. After graduation, Oscar trained under the supervision of Erick Landswick and Thad Stracker at Landswick Physical Therapy in Pasadena. He worked there for a year as a Physical Therapy aide, designing rehabilitation programs and teaching clients pre and post surgery exercise routines. Despite his love for rehabilitation, he craved the independence and creativity involved in personal training. At this point, Oscar chose his path as a private personal trainer, vowing to keep his focus on ongoing education, effective programming and client safety. Credentials include a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Bioscience, C.S.C.S. Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, ACSM CPT Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist, Certified Kettlebell Instructor, Pre/Post Natal
