History
The SCD Story Kristen Southworth, Nola Veganes Chavez and Kathleen Day-Seiter believe the inception of their law firm, Southworth Chavez & Day-Seiter, like so many things in life, was serendipitous. Kathleen and Kristen met when they served on their children's lacrosse club's board and helped secure non-profit status for the club. Kristen and Nola had been law colleagues for years. The three women met for tea one chilly autumn afternoon to discuss the possibility of establishing a more fulfilling law practice. They talked, laughed and got down to business. Initially, they set up shop in Berkeley, but when Kristen's daughter started attending JM for middle school, they decided to relocate their firm. They have recently hung out their shingle at 1 Northwood Drive, Suite 2 Orinda, and would welcome your questions regarding estate planning, issues facing elders, special needs children and special needs adults, limited conservatorships, and public benefits issues.
