The Sonoma County-based investment and construction tycoon, Codding — founded by the late Hugh Codding — bought the now defunct Hewlett-Packard Technology campus in 2006.
Now, the existing buildings are being retrofitted, and the entire 200-acre site is getting an urban sustainability makeover. The campus is currently in its fourth year of a nearly 20-year plan to transform the southeastern piece of Rohnert Park into a housing and business community that promotes the ideas of "green" living. Some features include rainwater catchment systems, solar and wind power, alternative transportation and locally-grown produce.
