Bakers is a trendy women's shoe store located on the first floor of the Northridge Fashion Center. The store claims to have the best selection of women's flat, heels, boots and stilettos in the mall. Bakers has affordable prices and a wide range of sizes, from 5 to 12. This store is a hot spot during the winter season when pumps and boots are a wardrobe necessity. But given the Southern California weather, customers can also find casual flats and sandals year-round. Bakers also carries a small line of handbags and purses. Stride Rite

Stride Rite is located on the first floor of the Northridge Fashion Center. In business since 1983, it was moved to this location when the mall got renovated in 1998. It is one the oldest children's shoe stores in the area, carrying athletic, dress and everyday footwear for infants, toddlers, boys and girls. The retailer has its own line of comfortable velcro athletic shoes as well as other brands to round out the collection. The staff is very friendly and can help with sizing for the perfect fit. Stride Rite also sells a few children's toys and shoe accessories including socks, tights and laces.
