Smart Finance Management, Inc. began in Marin County California as a sole proprietorship in 1982 with Thomas Chesus providing business and personal financial services. The focus of the services at that time was upon insurance and investments. In 1983 a growing number of clients were in need of cash flow management assistance in order to better organize and manage their routine record keeping and bill paying. Mr. Chesus responded to this need by developing a system with which to assemble the pertinent data and to implement the proper actions to enable the client to pay bills on time, maintain records, identify savings needs and utilize meaningful financial reports. The system evolved over the years and the company continues to offer very personalized and specialized bill paying and record keeping to individuals and couples. In recent years the company has begun to specialize in such services for divorcees, medically and physically impaired and all too busy business owners.
