Skyline High School, located in Oakland, Calif., serves students in grades nine through 12. The school offers a wide curriculum that includes English, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education. Additionally, it offers classes in performing and graphic arts, computer technology and world languages. It also conducts a reading intervention program, High Point, which offers standards-based reading instruction in reading and language arts. The program is designed for struggling readers and English language learners to accelerate their growth in language and literacy. The school also supports several sports activities that include volleyball, cheerleading and cross country. Skyline High School is affiliated with the Oakland Unified School District.
