History

Shinzen Friendship Garden emerged in the era of sister-city gardens, the development began in 1967 at the suggestion of Fresno City Councilman. The master plan was drafted in 1966, and dedicated in 1970. Shinzen Friendship Garden opened it's doors in 1981.
