History
After 89 years in business as a San Francisco confectionery icon, Shaw's shuttered its doors in the heart of San Francisco's West Portal neighborhood in early 2020. (not Covid-related). A year later, neighborhood resident Diana Zogaric has re-opened at the same address with a dramatically renovated store, an expanded menu of regionally inspired sweets . . . as well as the treats that made Shaw's a lifetime tradition for your parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and (just maybe) great-great grandparents!
Specialties
Shaws Candy specializes in trips down memory lane. With a floor-to-ceiling rebuild, we like to think we've captured the spirit of the ice cream parlor from days of yore -- the spot where our great-grandfather might have courted our great-grandmother. But there's plenty of eye candy in our sleek new design -- from the ample Covid-informed showcases that feature our mouthwatering truffles, fudge and nonpareils to the gorgeous floor and wall tiling that make the re-established Shaws (2021) an architectural delight.
