History
Originally an Indian Village, it was recognized by early settler Russell Ferguson, fresh from the Civil War, as an ideal farm site. From your front door it is 25 minutes east up Mark West Canyon to Calistoga, a historic hot springs town. You will be sleeping in a house built right after the Civil War. The inhabitants of this house went to town in a horse drawn buggy and water was carried from a hand dug brick well. You will feel this history all around you, magically, and due to the $1.2M restoration, when you enter the restored interior, you'll have the comfort of hydronic heating, silent flooring, and a draft-free atmosphere.
