History
The business was started by Lisa Telepman who wanted to find a space for artists and hairdressers to come together and create an amazing atmosphere for art, fashion and style. The original salon was a 3000 square foot loft style space that is industrial and urban yet very comfortable. We have moved to Mission Hills In 2012 and recreated the space in a smaller yet still spacious and urban location. We were looking for more visibility and action which we have found in our new home next door to Cafe Blue and the Lamplighter. Due to Covid-19 shutdowns Lisa decided to transform again and go mobile. She is purchasing a mobile vehicle and will be converting into a new form of Say Lula. She still values customer service and will strive to have the best service as well as a fun modern artsy environment.
Specialties
I specialize in hair extensions, curly hair, color correction and haircutting. The salon is going mobile and locations will be announced after we are allowed to safely open again . The salon showcases local artists and we do lots of events including art and fashion. The salon has a vintage midcentury vibe so you feel like your in our living room and you can lounge in style. The owner is an educator for haricutting and has worked for Tigi for 15 years years as well as trained in New York, San Francisco, Dallas and Los Angeles.
