Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs
The Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs, established in 1948, is a nonprofit organization offering supervised after-school winter and summer programs for children and disadvantaged youth. The club, based in Palm Springs, Calif., is affiliated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that offers five-core program areas including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. A range of sporting activities are offered at the club, such as basketball, flag football, floor hockey, volleyball, whiffelball, mini-soccer, water polo, water volleyball and kickboard races. It also provides a variety of programs and activities that include Stergios learning center, computer lab, tutoring, games and recreation, specialty programs, cooking, first-aid, Yoga, overnight camps and keystone and torch clubs.
