The San Jose Integrative Wellness Center (SJIWC) is dedicated to helping people find the resources within themselves to find joy and fulfillment in their lives. We specialize in helping people with anxiety, depression, addiction, mood problems, ADHD or other mental health conditions. Dr. Nangia has been a board-certified psychiatrist since 2005 and is on staff at Good Samaritan Hospital. He has served as outpatient director of Behavioral Health and as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Stanford and currently teaches through Yale University's School of Medicine. He himself was a client of the mental health system and his current mission is to provide the highest quality and accessible care in the fields of mental health and addiction to his local community, while helping to break the stigma.
Specialties
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for treatment-resistant depression. TMS therapy is a non-invasive, non-medication alternative treatment for medication-resistant depression. Since becoming FDA approved in 2008, TMS is covered under many insurance policies (United Health Care, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Aetna, etc.) for the treatment of depression. TMS is also being used to treat other diagnoses, such as anxiety, OCD, and bipolar disorder, but treatment for these conditions by Dr. Nangia will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and are not currently covered by insurance companies, therefore requiring patients to pay the out-of-pocket costs. Addiction treatments including medical detox from substances such as pain meds/opiates and alcohol/sedatives and long-term relapse prevention work. Medication management for various mental health related conditions, such as anxiety, depression, addiction, mood problems, or ADHD.
