The San Dieguito Union High School District includes four middle schools for grades 7 - 8 and four high schools for grades 9 - 12. The district also offers an alternative education program for grades 9 - 12 at Sunset Continuation High School and North Coast Alternative High School, as well as an adult education program at San Dieguito High School Academy.
This high school district serves students from five elementary school districts in North County: Encinitas, Cardiff, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach and Del Mar.
