History
Licensed for 114 total students, 95 students for preschool and 19 for the After School Program. We enroll children ages 2 1/2 to 12 years old, divided into 6 classrooms for Preschool and After School Program. Children are generally placed in classes by age with consideration for developmental and abilities.
Specialties
The Salvation Army, Child Development Center, provides quality care and early education for young children in a social-emotional, safe, predictable environment. Our caring and qualified staff are early childhood professionals, and are dedicated to achieving the development of each child to their fullest potential. All of our teachers hold permits through the California Department of Education. They are trained in Pediatric CPR and First Aid and attend educational workshops that continue to increase their professional development. Most of our teachers have completed , or are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program with an emphasis in child development.
